Executive Producer

WTVC has an opening for Executive Producer to oversee the lifestyle program The Daily Refresh. The ideal candidate will produce a one-hour weekday program and oversee  special programming tied to lifestyle content. You will work closely with other lifestyle producers, sales team, host, and MMJ on daily production.

Some additional responsibilities of our Executive Producer will include

Oversee daily production to ensure shows are stacked, written, content, and digital posting is completed. Collaborate with host and MMJ for daily segments, live and taped segments as well as review scripts and packages for broadcast Collaborate with the sales team on client driven content, including communicating with clients and guests for booking and production Collaborate with Sales Managers and other station managers to create segments with a client focus for use in lifestyle programming Planning and overseeing shooting & editing social and digital production for the show including posting segments and creating original content Daily execution of FCC and Compliance procedures to ensure show is following all guidelines as it relates to paid and promotional content. Shoot and edit packages for broadcast and digital platforms.

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?

Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms Ability to navigate working with clients for sales driven projects to increase revenue Ability to identity problems and provide solutions A strong commitment to community outreach  Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating Strong understanding of how to drive digital traffic Minimum of 5 (years exp) producing in a television environment or equivalent A college degree in Journalism, Communication or a related field is preferred Strong shooting, writing and editing skills
