Executive Producer

What does an Executive Producer do at Hogarth?

The Executive Producer is responsible for all production deliverables across all platforms (Primary and Content) for multiple clients. They know what has been produced, what’s currently being produced and what’s on the horizon. This person is informed on all project details for production work coming from their team (who is producing what, budget, timing, what is/was delivered).The Executive Producer oversees all aspects of content production acting as a funnel for the scoping, concepting, scheduling, talent, vendor relationships, shoot, edit, visual effects, music, and delivery. They act as a lead production partner for the creative teams, Agency Production Leads on their respective accounts. They also coordinate with the digital, social, and experiential teams to ensure synergy of all assets and content.  This position is the hub connecting the Account, Creative, Operations and Business Affairs departments. The Executive Producer will partner with the Managing Director in Canada on all new business efforts, focusing on securing work for Hogarth studios and the production team. They will also play a key role in building the department as it grows.

You will work closely with Creative, Account, Operations, Production, Business Affairs, Finance and Agency teams

Responsibilities

Serve as a master of production craft, collaborating with creative teams to source the best talent and execute all projects Lead the scoping of new business opportunities and ventures, identifying growth areas and potential partnerships Partner with account leads to develop production staffing plans and ensure sufficient resources for client SOWs Foster a collaborative and creative work environment to maximize team productivity Negotiate contracts and handle business elements tied to production Be one step ahead – anticipate and guide the team around pitfalls throughout the process Act as a key client-facing team member, responsible for creating production strategies, innovative solutions, and account-specific creative production approaches Oversee staffing, project ball-parking, and early-stage creative vetting, providing expert problem-solving solutions Mentor and support senior producers, producers, and associate producers Operate as a “player/coach” by actively producing projects while guiding the team Resolve conflicts by uniting divergent viewpoints with diplomacy and tact Collaborate with production consultants and producers to deliver high-quality results Maintain fiscal responsibility and integrity across all projects, liaising with commercial finance to ensure production budget scoping supports successful project delivery Stay ahead of trends, platforms, and strategies, contributing imaginative ideas Demonstrate strong visual, musical, and administrative sensibilities, effectively managing costs, timing, and legal complexities Adapt to challenges with flexibility, recognizing production’s dynamic nature

Requirements

10+ years ad agency experience in production. Production studio experience a plus Strong strategic thinker within the Production space Confident in expertise of Content, Broadcast, Digital, and full integrated production projects Knowledge of all agency disciplines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills Strong team management skills Detail-oriented, take-ownership attitude, self-organizing and highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects Able to work independently, and communicate up, down and laterally to project stakeholders within the agency Proficient in MAC OS, MS Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Adobe creative suite & Smartsheet a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

A Hybrid working model

We have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for an average of 4 days per week for most people.
