Executive Projects Director | Remote

AZRA is a specialty niche reinsurer, domiciled in California and licensed as an admitted insurer in 36 states (including District of Columbia), and is a qualified, accredited, or approved reinsurer in fifteen states. AZRA is a property casualty reinsurer which writes both prospective and legacy reinsurance. AZRA has specific expertise in run-off management of U.S. legacy insurance liabilities. It services Allianz Group affiliates and third parties including third party claims administration of asbestos, environmental, workers compensation, general liability, and construction defect liabilities.

 

AZRA has approximately 150 employees located nationwide with the majority working on a remote basis.

Partner with department leadership in strategic planning, budgeting, program management, project leadership, special projects, and stakeholder engagement and communications. This role is critical to ensuring efficient and high-quality execution of strategic initiatives – aligning and managing appropriate resources and will serve as an extension of leadership where applicable, facilitating collaboration and communication with key internal and external business partners.

What you do:

Monitor projects to ensure achievement and alignment with Corporate Rule for Project Mgt across the company, ensure that business benefits are achieved as designed. Facilitate and gain agreement with business owners on benefits and requirements.

Participate in and/or drive the initiative/project development process including identifying and assessing business need, preparing the business cases; supporting key initiatives, identifying business requirements, risks and benefits of the initiatives, etc.

Lead one or more medium to large, complex strategic initiatives/projects. Develop project plans and related goals including the business cases for funding and resources required to successfully execute the initiatives.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and company wide leadership to successfully meet goals/deliverables, stay current and aligned with function/company wide initiatives and business priorities, and monitor industry trends.

Communications: Ensure alignment across the organization through effectively organized meetings and communications. Support or drive meeting planning (ELG meetings and events, offsite planning). Liaise with Corporate Communications and other key stakeholders to facilitate
communications.

What you bring:

11+ years of experience required; At least 11 years of Project Management; Financial Services or insurance experience working within Operations; Relevant technical and/or business experience. Four-year degree required, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.

Base Salary Range $125,000 - $160,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
