This is Caterpillar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoB-d5nIa38) The Executive Protection Officer reports directly to the Caterpillar Enterprise Executive Protection Manager and is responsible for providing secure transport, security advice, event security, and close protection directly to the Caterpillar Executive Office and headquarters executive personnel as well as safeguarding client assets. **What You Will Do:** + Execute assigned executive driver duties + Operate vehicles, maintain vehicle cleanliness/readiness + Execute comprehensive security plans for BOD, Shareholder meetings and high-profile Executive Events. + Coordinate with the 24/7 Executive Protection Operations Center and support the Operations database. + Employ tasks associated with the management of residential security for key executives identified by the enterprise. + Assist in facility security and emergency management operations for executives at the assigned location. + Research and deploy technical solutions to safeguard enterprise executives, corporate assets, and employees. + Develop collaborative relationships, with executive assistants, business units and employees + At the direction of the Enterprise Executive Protection Manager, develop/implement plans to mitigate security risks to the enterprise executives, while maintaining a high level of operational and tactical competence. + Employ enterprise executive protection Standard Operating Procedures, conduct risk/threat vulnerability assessments, while implementing mitigation strategies. + Prepare/maintain executives’ comfort items in the vehicles: water, tissues, umbrellas, etc. **What You Have:** + **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan + **Risk Management:** Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations. + **Standard Operating Procedures:** Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency. + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Personnel Security** : Knowledge of techniques, equipment and processes to ensure personnel security; ability to implement the measures necessary to safeguard an organization's employees and visitors. + **Data Gathering and Reporting:** Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. + **Emergency Management** : Knowledge of emergency management tools and techniques in a manufacturing organization; ability to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from an emergency. **Required Qualifications:** + Possess a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record + Demonstrated track record of success working with high performing teams and maintaining professionalism under stress + Demonstrated thought leadership and initiative to develop, plan and execute global security strategies + Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise, and strategic level briefings and reports to effectively inform leaders at executive office level on global security matters + Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps + Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends as required + 10+ years’ experience in complex global corporate security organizations **Additional Info** : + The primary location for this position is at our global headquarters in Irving, Texas + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available + International and Domestic travel up to 25% **About Caterpillar** Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
