Executive Protection Specialist – GM Global Security Organization

**Job Description**
**Work Arrangement**
This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Detroit on a full-time basis.
**The Organization**
The GM Global Security Organization is charged with enabling the business through globally delivered risk management and security services aligned to the enterprise risk and threat profile. Accountable for maintaining a secure organization through strategic alignment, structured governance and process operation.
**The Role**
The Executive Protection Specialist (EPS) is part of a team whose primary responsibility is to provide personal protection to designated senior executives, or others as assigned. The Executive Protection Team operates in high profile domestic and international environments and is based at the GM World Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.
**What You'll Do**
+ Provide personal protection, emergency response and driving services for senior executives.
+ Make high-stress decisions in a fast paced and dynamic environment with minimal oversight.
+ Coordinate security/logistical planning with senior executive support staff, security personnel of other organizations, event planners, and law enforcement personnel, etc.
+ Conduct complex advance protective services planning, risk assessments and analysis, and liaise with business units to ensure confidentiality, access control and other security matters are adequately addressed.
+ Develop and implement security and logistical plans for domestic and international travel by senior executives and others.
+ Provide emergency notifications to all levels of management and key personnel.
+ Protect classified and sensitive company information with confidentiality.
**Additional Job Description**
**Required Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of experience with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency
+ Possess a valid State of Michigan Driver’s License
+ Possess a Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and/or LEOSA/HR 218 certified
+ Possess a valid passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to a week or more with little to no notice
+ Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule and available to work 24x7, 365 days a year
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of experience working in an executive security capacity
+ ttended a recognized executive protection training program
+ Armed Security Officer Program certified through the Transportation Security Administration
