Executive Protection Specialist

Chubb is hiring for an Executive Protection Specialist. This role will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's overall efficiency and effectiveness within Executive Protection.

Chubb's Global Safety, Security, and Business Continuity Management (GSSBCM) manages critical areas driven by a Duty of Care to protect our people, property, reputation, and brand. GSSBCM acts as a shared service to support Chubb Business Units and Corporate functions – as an integrator that can assist with reducing risk and enhancing resilience through deliberate planning, progressively challenging exercises, and transparent policies and processes.

The Executive Protection Specialist supports Chubb Executive Protection in and around New York City and the tri-state area. The overall objective is to provide high-level Executive Protection and ensure the overall safety of Chubb Executives as directed. This position provides physical coverage for identified Chubb Principals while in New York City, the tri-state area, as well as during domestic and international travel. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the function's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe environment for senior executives and VIP visitors in the executive suite.

Provide executive protection for key Chubb executives in NYC and during business travel. Lead trip planning logistics and coordinate with various internal and external teams, including executive office staff, Global Security, GSOC, Private Aviation, and third-party security firms. Deliver security for Chubb executives at their NYC office, homes, and during global travel as directed by Executive Protection (EP) leadership. Conduct advanced site visits to meticulously plan logistics. Maintain relationships with law enforcement and security providers, particularly in NYC, for effective event coverage and assistance. Support the Corporate Security and Events team at corporate functions, coordinating security staff and vendors. Provide comprehensive executive protection services, including trip planning, advance work, driver services, close protection, and event coverage. Offer security support and guidance for Chubb meetings and events with executives to ensure adequate protection. Maintain a strong customer service mentality. Work independently and adapt to various environments while demonstrating high attentiveness, energy, and professionalism. 10+ years of relevant experience in a private/public sector security environmentFormer Law Enforcement, Military, or Government Agent is requiredMust qualify for Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), (HR218)Experience in the close personal protection of high-profile principalsProven ability to execute efficiently under tight time constraintsProven ability to foster relationships and interface with external agencies to promote functional excellenceExperience in promoting a culture of a strong security risk and control environmentDemonstrated understanding of security vulnerabilities and crisis principlesUnderstanding of potential security or safety threats, local threats based on geographic location, and their impactDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of risk management and innovatively developed solutions to provide recommendations to senior management to mitigate risksExperience in conducting protective advances and completing site surveys to identify risk and plan a protective strategy accordinglyExperience with planning and organization of multiple complex projects simultaneouslyExperience in Office, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent communications skillsCurrent CPR and AED certificationAbility to obtain TSA/ASO certificationOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by the EP and/or GSSBCM leadershipTravel as required throughout the year (approx. 25-50%)

The pay range for the role is $120,000-$140,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.
