The Specialist provides executive protection services for CEO and other senior level executives. Services include, but not limited to, physical security of the principal and immediate associates in all capacities.
This individual will, when possible, accompany the executive when situations warrant. This includes travel with the executive both in and outside the principal’s primary area of operation.
The Specialist will coordinate with executive assistants to review executive itineraries to assess risks, track and report on threats, and respond as needed to any incidents or to address potential issues. The specialist will prepare advance security advisories for senior level executives for domestic and international travel and provide same to the Senior Manager of Physical Security Services or designee.
Additionally, the Specialist provides safe transport to and from work-related events during and after business hours as needed. When warranted, will arrange and coordinate with third party vendors to provide additional transportation and security resources when need for such is identified.
The Specialist will coordinate with Local, State and Federal law enforcement on all security related matters as pertains to movement, events and presentations involving Key Executives in both public and private venues. When not performing Executive Protection duties, specialist will be involved in building security activities and may be required to make decisions during critical incidents.

Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, accountability and engagementPossess the ability to recognize a potential adverse situation as it develops and execute the appropriate steps for avoidance and or de-escalationCommunicate with executive assistants on confidential matters and plan accordinglyThe ability to adapt to changing driving schedules and varying driving times.Demonstrate by way of past experience the ability to defend oneself and the assigned principal from various forms of threats and potential physical confrontation Stay abreast of threat and intelligence information relevant to the performance of your duties and the safety of the executive by familiarity and use of various open source databasesCommunicate relevant security information and intelligence to Protection Services personnel through appropriate channels.The ability to liaison and develop relationships with all levels of law enforcement (Local, State and Federal)Relay relevant feedback from Executive Clients to the Senior Manager of Physical Security Services or Executive Security manager as appropriateRespond appropriately and effectively to emergency situations affecting CEO and other Executives while in the care of the SpecialistConduct advance security surveys of locations associated with planned meetings involving executive leadership and Board of DirectorsProvide an in-depth verbal and written report stemming from security surveys and provide recommendations to address/mitigate identified potential issuesDemonstrate the ability to operate and maintain communication, emergency /contingency equipment ensuring its reliability.Maintain a current knowledge of specific communication devices for international travelDevelop current security contacts throughout the company footprint in anticipation of domestic and foreign travelParticipate in ongoing meetings with other physical security team members to coordinate evacuation and emergency planningParticipate in Emergency Recovery and Crisis Management events, tests and simulations. Particularly those related to executive protectionMay be required to assist in building duties as a primary decision makerMay assist with training, records management, internal quality control, crisis / disaster response protocols and various security related trainingAssist with Kidnap, Hostage, Ransom, Extortion (KHRE) including but limited to: Cyber Arc, KHRE profiles and subsequent testingAssist the Senior Manager of Physical Security Services or Executive Security Manager in executing Aviation Security and DASSP requirementsDevelops and maintains fluency with Corporate / Departmental systems such as RightCrowd, VVI, EBI and SharePoint.Provide safe and secure vehicle ground transportation services for CEO and other select Executives, while safely operating and maintaining Company vehicles.Plan transportation routes, conduct dry runs, survey of arrival and departure locations, and maintain situational awareness of changing traffic and road conditions.Perform discreet ground transportation for the CEO and other select Executives upon request, ensuring that safe and timely departure and arrivals of principals are maintained.Maintain detailed reports on ground transportation for the purposes of IRS and SEC reporting.Understand metropolitan traffic patterns utilizing available resources. Consistently use traffic reports, radio communications, maps and online resources to identify the safest and most efficient route for principals.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentialityMinimum 5 years of law enforcement experience or Corporate Executive Protection Specialist related positionPossess (or have the ability to obtain) an Armed Security Officer Certification in accordance with FAA regulationsAssociates degree or comparable work experienceValid driver’s license, maintains a safe driving record, and adheres to all vehicular laws.LEOSA permit to carry a concealed firearm (HR 218)Trained, certified and proficient at defensive and evasive driving techniques and vehicle dynamicsFamiliar and proficient with various methods used in executive protection to assure a safe and secure environment for protected principal Proficient at vehicle surveillance detectionDefensive Driving and Executive Protection trained/certified.Ability to successfully perform work responsibilities in stressful environmentsWillingness to work extended/overtime hours on a regular basisExcellent decision-making skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and can confidently interact with senior leadership and stakeholdersProven ability to understand and analyze complex business problems and to make sound decisions and recommendations.Proficient in organization, planning, and managing objectives. Detail oriented and possessing strong time management skills.
