Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist in menu planning and recipe development, focusing on nutritious and appealing meals for seniors
+ Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
+ Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a team environment that promotes culinary excellence
+ Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene
+ Collaborate with nutritionists and dietitians to meet residents' specific dietary needs
+ Manage inventory, control food costs, and assist in budget management
+ Participate in food-related events and activities, such as cooking demonstrations and themed dining experiences
+ Maintain open communication with residents to understand their preferences and receive feedback

Requirements
+ Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional certification
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
+ Mastery of a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations
+ Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills
+ Proficiency in menu planning and cost control
+ ServSafe certification ▪ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
+ Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
+ Compassionate attitude and ability to interact positively with senior residents
+ Ability to read and speak English
