Executive Support Officer - Fiji Program Support Platform
**Fiji Program Support Platform (FPSP)** + _Base in Suva, Fiji_ + _Locally Engaged Employee - February to 31 December 2027, with possible 2 year extension_ **Program Overview:** FPSP, also referred to as the ‘Platform’, a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) investment, will contribute to the delivery of Fiji’s national development priorities, in line with the Australia’s International Development Policy, the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership and the Development Partnership Plan. The Platform will deliver key bilateral programs, such as health, education, scholarships, social infrastructure, governance, climate and emergency preparedness and response. Platform activities will identify and address climate risks, promote climate action, and gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) across and beyond the sector programs. The Platform has three functional Outcomes: 1. The Platform has delivered its sector program outcomes, including through supporting strategic coherence, planning, partnerships management, data and learning across the portfolio of investments. 2. The Platform has prioritised gender equality, disability-inclusive development, and climate and disaster resilience, in its systems and practices. This includes in how it undertakes sector programming and its engagement with selected Government of Fiji (GoF) agencies. 3. The Platform administers timely and efficient programming that is: value for money; maximises use of local supply chains; and supports good governance, and public diplomacy, effective decision making and risk management. **Position Summary:** As part of the Executive Support Unit (ESU), the Executive Support Officer will provide quality support the Senior Executive Officer to effectively manage and coordinate FPSP governance, strategic programming and operations. The Officer will provide administration, coordination, secretariat and planning support. They will bring coherence to the governance functions across FPSP providing coordinated support the Platform and Sector Programs. **Key Responsibilities:** + As part of the Executive Support Unit, bring cohesion to the overall FPSP governance agenda by working closely with colleagues to keep abreast of strategic and thematic priorities, upcoming deadlines and events. + Support the Senior Executive Officer to manage meetings, including the development of agendas, coordination of meeting papers; drafting meeting minutes. + Support the Senior Leadership Team to with management and governance meetings with the client and key stakeholders. + Draft agendas and meeting minutes and updating of management tracking tools. + Provide responsive support to DFAT counterparts in relation to meetings, requests and ad hoc requests. + Support the Senior Executive Officer to communicate critical matters arising from meetings to key staff across the Platform and sector programs. + Ensure that calendar entries for the governance mechanisms are up to date in the FPSP Governance meeting calendar, and work with the Communications Team for the whole-of-platform calendar to ensure alignment. + Support, coordinate and manage corporate activities and initiatives. + Maintain a high level of confidentiality and use a high degree of discretion. + Ensure compliance with DFAT and Abt policies and procedures. + Other duties as requested by the Senior Executive Officer. **Key Working Relationships:** + Executive Support Unit (Senior Executive Officer and Platform Leader) + Senior Leadership Team + Platform Teams + DFAT representatives + Government of Fiji representatives **Selection Criteria:** + Demonstrated similar experience, preferably with development programs/organisations. + Well-developed and demonstrated administrative, executive support and secretariate skills to professionally and efficiently support leadership teams. + Demonstrated ability to operate with innovation, adaptability, flexibility, and resilience to accommodate change in a complex, high-energy environment. + Strong analytical and writing skills including the preparation of reports and briefs for internal and external stakeholder audiences, including with senior government officials. + Experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite of software programs. **How to apply ** Applications close on **Sunday 23 February 2025.** Please apply online by submitting a cover letter addressing how you meet the requirements of this role and an up-to-date comprehensive CV.   \#LI-AUSBRIT #LI-HN1 Abt Global is a mission-driven, global leader in research and program implementation in the fields of health, social and environmental policy, and international development.
