About the Team

Workday’s Executive Talent team is a dynamic and growing team of professionals responsible for Workday’s global VP+ talent ecosystem. This ecosystem includes executive mobility, succession planning, promotions, assessment, onboarding, organizational design, market mapping, sourcing/research, recruitment, and external partner management.

About the Role

The Executive Talent Associate is primarily responsible for engaging the external candidate market on both active executive searches and proactive mapping & succession bench projects. In this role you will focus on curating external pools of executive talent (VP+) talent aligned with corporate strategy, succession and executive skill gaps senior management team connections / references and research.

About You

Responsibilities:Attends kick-off meetings with search stakeholders making recommendations for target companies, prospect/calibration profiles, experience / skill tradeoffs, and search positioning based on insights and benchmarking gained from the external / competitive landscape.Produce best-in-class search documentation that is content-rich and data-driven; status reports/updates, market maps, candidate reports / assessments, and executive search briefs / marketing materialsMarket mapping / researchDrive end-to-end execution from market mapping, to outreach and screening to shortlist presentations.Gather market intelligence, where applicable through screening or research process, in relation to market trends, views on the role in question and other prospect recommendations/referrals.Provide regular updates to hiring team stakeholders assisting them through the search process from kick-off to offer stage, providing impactful counsel and advice throughout.Ensure and promote high levels of candidate care, turning down prospects at different stages of a search, in a timely and conscientious manner.Work internally with the Executive Talent Partners, HR business partners and other business heads to help define the role and to pull together suitable and competitive compensation packages for candidates.Proactively build external executive talent network relationships for your functional areas - using your judgment to recommend top talent for proactive introductions.Work internally with the Executive Talent Partners, HR business partners and other business heads to help define areas in need of proactive talent development.Share best practices and prospect ideas with the Global Executive Talent Team on a regular basis.Serve as an advocate for leadership at Workday, acting as a role model for Workday’s culture and VIBE.Develop comprehensive competitive intelligence and documentation including organizational structure and executives on the move.Qualifications:
The Executive Talent Associate will ideally bring deep domain expertise within the enterprise SaaS industry with a blend of search firm and in-house experience. More specifically, the following skills and related experience is required;Ability to effectively work in a matrixed environment and globally distributed environment.Track record of building strong, consultative relationships with senior executives and HR Business Partners.The ability to tell influential stories through data at the senior-most levels of the company; a data driven and an analytical approach.Deep understanding around executive compensation plans, strategies and industry benchmarks.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 7+ years of executive search experience ideally in technology, focusing on sourcing, recruiting and closing VP+ level and above candidates.Minimum of 2+ years of retained Executive Search firm experience, working in a multinational, multi-business unit environment.Other Qualifications:Attention to detail and the ability to work at pace whilst managing multiple-priorities at any one time.A hands on approach, a self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity.Highly organized with the ability to sieve through large amounts of information & data, to identify relevancy and insights.Excellent communicator with a can-do demeanor.Multicultural mindset and strong interpersonal skills.


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $134,300 USD - $201,500 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $112,700 USD - $201,500 USD
