Overview FTE: 1.0 Shift Hours: 8:00-5:00PM Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY Provides supervised and monitored exercise programs, breathing retraining and patient education for cardiac. and/or pulmonary patients. Under supervision of physician/cardiac nurse performs exercise stress tests. Educates other health professionals and students about cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Also may provide care as delegated under the direct supervision of the physical therapist when part of a prescribed physical therapy program. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in exercise related field Master's degree preferred Two years of clinical experience in a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program preferred ACLS desirable but not required Knowledge in exercise stress testing Ability to communicate knowledge of healthy lifestyle behaviors to cardiac/pulmonary patient population Licensure/Certification/Registration: ACLS certification at hire or prior to annual review Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver' NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
