**Overview** **Fairview Health Services is hiring a casual** **Exercise Physiologist** **to join our** **CV** **Imaging team at our Fairview Southdale** **Hospital** **located in Edina, MN.** The Exercise Physiologist assists the proctor RN with all modalities of cardiac stress testing including GXT, stress echo & nuclear studies. They are responsible for patient education on the use of Holter and event monitors. They also will perform 12 lead EKGs on inpatients and outpatients at our facilities. **Responsibilities Job Description** As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for: + Maintaining knowledge of, and following, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. + Actively participating in creating and implementing improvements. + Direct patient care in accordance to established standards of practice for Non-Invasive Heart Care. + Performing non-invasive cardiology procedures. + Assessing and monitoring patient progress and intervening as appropriate to ensure procedures achieve desired outcomes. + Providing patient education. + Responding to medical emergencies and communicating with healthcare team. + Troubleshooting equipment. + Orienting and training new team members. **Qualifications** **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science + Strong skills interpreting 12 lead EKG + 0-2 years cardiac rehabilitation, stress testing, or Holter monitoring experience + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)   **Preferred Qualifications:** + 1 year of cardiac testing experience + American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist Certification **EEO Statement** EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status **Benefit Overview** Although this is considered a non-benefit eligible position, Fairview offers employees the option to participate in the Fairview 403(b) plan, earn Sick and Safe Time, and early access to earned wages. **Compensation Disclaimer** An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
