We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as an Exercise Planner 3 to work out of Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
PAY: $115,000-$125,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Develop, plan, and execute USSF participation in CJCS, CCMD, USAF, and other Service exercises, experiments, and demonstrations in accordance with the Headquarters, United States Space Force (USSF) Service Exercise Plan (SEP). Coordinate, facilitate, and support the planning and execution of USSF exercises in accordance with the Service Exercise Plan (SEP). Attend planning conferences to establish execution events, timelines, and communication requirements. Participate during exercise execution as part of the Exercise Control Group providing oversight, management, and control of space events for the exercise. Work with internal/external exercise stakeholders to the 392 CTS (formally Distributed Mission Operations Center - Space (DMOC-S)) and exercise hosts to integrate effects and provide realistic advanced training events. Provide recommendations as well as monitor and track USSF resources required (personnel, funding, and equipment) to support each event. Review appropriate OPLANs, previous LL, CCMD’s websites, and gather historical activity information to assist the training audiences in drafting training objectives for each event. Be familiar with current and in-development 392 CTS Modeling and Simulation capabilities during exercise development and planning, and have the ability to integrate these capabilities into exercises, demonstrations, and experiments, where appropriate. In conjunction with HQ USSF/S3/6TE, assist in the planning and conduct of the USSF annual and quarterly Exercise Coordination Team (ECT) meetings by preparing and presenting exercise and experiment planning and participation information for each scheduled exercise. Prepare event-related documents (i.e., trip reports, exercise planning/execution products, after-action reports, meeting minutes) within organizational and host expected time requirements. Trip reports are required within 5 business days from the end of conferences/meetings. Coordinate manning support with HQ USSF for each exercise and experiment and coordinate all UMD, DRMD, JMD manning requirements with the exercise/experiment host. In addition, for exercises requiring specific TPFDD builds from HQ USSF, coordinate these activities with the host command and HQ USSF/S3/6TE. Provide budget support to the customer including, but not limited to, establishing budgeting guidance for exercises; coordinating with unit finance representatives for exercise support requiring USSF funds (includes USSF units and non-USSF units; projecting current and future budgets for exercises; assisting in developing projections for USSF/S3/6TE POM inputs for exercises. Provide accurate responses to 392 CTS tasks and coordinate responses IAW unit policies and procedures. Develop after action reports (AAR) to capture Lessons Learned (LL). Additional duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) years of operational and technical military experience in planning, developing, coordinating and executing United States Air Force (USAF) and/or United States Space Force participation in Command, Service, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and Combatant Commander (CCMD) operations, exercises, demonstrations and experiments. At least 5 years’ experience in space planning and execution or space and signals intelligence working as part of an Air Operations Center (AOC).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook). Possess working knowledge of tools used for exercise planning such as JTIMS, JMSEL, JLLS, DCO, etc. Previous Advance Training and Major Exercise experience in support CCMD and Service level exercises (Terminal Fury, Global Lightning, Global Thunder, Austere Challenge, Internal Look, Ulchi Freedom Guardian, Panamax, ACC Flag exercises [Red Flag, Blue Flag, Virtual Flag], Space Scrimmage, Space Flag) or other Department of Defense (DoD) exercise customers.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the Sciences, Education, Business, Management, or relevant fields or four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education requirement.REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
