Exercise Planner II
XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

HOW AN EXERCISE PLANNER II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Brigade Combat Team through Division/Corps.
Leads and partners with a cross functional team of both contract staff and government experts to plan, coordinate, and resource complex training exercises in the live, virtual, and constructive training domains.
Assists unit leadership/training audience in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.
Incorporates emerging Mission Command technologies into the operational design of large-scale complex training exercises.
Serves in a mentorship or observer/controller role when requested.
Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
Assist in creating higher headquarters OPORDs and, when necessary, represent Division or higher headquarters for Brigade and below collective training.
Performing limited manual and non-manual work directly related to the general business operations of the MTC Director, as detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW) and the MTC Director’s customers, military units.
Work is predominantly intellectual in character and requires the employee to consistently exercise discretion and judgment.
Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, subject immaterial, or a background of at least four (4) years’ military staff experience.
Experience: Must have a minimum of ten (10) years military staff experience. If no degree, minimum of 14 years of relevant experience required.
Security Clearance: Requires Secret clearance.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Expert knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
Expertise in the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of Army training programs and Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC).
Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of mission command systems; knowledge of and experience with emerging mission command technologies.
Ability to lead a planning team to create a high fidelity, realistic training event in a Live, Virtual, and Constructive environment.
Duties require exercising discretion, independent judgment, and decision-making.
Participates in and performs additional duties, special projects, emerging responsibilities as required/directed.
Physical labor tasks require the ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and climb ladders to a height of 6 to 12 feet in height to configure network/power cabling.
Location: Fort Stewart MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night, swing or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.
Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
