Exercise Specialist PRN

**Job Description:**
Designs, directs, and documents exercise programs for athletes and patient populations.
**Posting Specifics**
Schedule: August - May, primarily afternoon and evening shifts; June - July, primarily morning and early afternoon shifts. Schedule will vary based on demand, with opportunity to grow.
**Job Essentials**
+ Designs exercise programs per physician and physical therapist instruction or per athlete's performance requirements.
+ Educates clients regarding exercise technique and appropriate use of equipment.
+ Monitors progress and keeps patient/athletes progressing through program. Updates program as needed.
+ Documents tests results and training in a clear, concise and timely manner.
+ Communicates with therapists and other team members regarding progress.
+ Maintains equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
+ Maintains a clean and inviting work environment according to health department codes and facility standards.
+ Assists in research initiatives as assigned.
+ Follow protocols and coach youth athletes to improve all aspects of athleticism.
+ Oversee offsite, ground-based sports training programs for youth athletes.
+ Support local partnerships with build relationships with strategic partners.
+ Oversee sport specific training for sports within your areas of expertise.
+ Assist in administrative duties of our facility including phone calls, data entry, routine cleaning, and customer service.
+ Play an active, regular role in outreach and marketing efforts to grow our program.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
+ Experience using knowledge of anatomy and physiology, training theory and methodology.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in an Exercise Science field from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
+ Master's degree in an Exercise Science related field from an accredited institution.
+ CSCS Certification, preferred.
+ Experience playing or coaching collegiate football, baseball, track & field, or soccer, preferred.
**Physical Requirements:**
Carrying, climbing, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing and walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$19.97 - $29.74
