In this role you will plan and perform expediting activities to ensure the timely delivery of purchase orders to distribution facilities for service to customers. What you’ll do:
Liase between teams – implement new reporting.Use the database application to complete tracking of past due and delayed POs consolidating and documenting reasonsPartner with vendors, buyers, transport leads, DC leads, outside carriers to resolve issues of past due and delayed POs quicklyCommunicate to impacted teams for any Service Level protection actions – picking up earlier, improve performance of responsible parties. Ad hoc problem solving, data analysis and investigation of issues related to vendor production and shipping delays and solution creationCreate truck and resource utilization plans that align with business priorities (promotional and high margin product) to mitigate equipment disruptions.Maintain reporting metrics regarding vendor readiness, pick up progress and delivery timelines.Create action plans in coordination with partner departments using key drivers in service level detractors and the requirements to fulfill service level metrics.Provide daily and weekly updates to business leadership on key areas of focus where support is requiredAnalyze issues and data to find opportunities for system optimization and present results to leadershipThrough the evolution of the role, build reporting capabilities based on business requirementsEstablish relationships with vendors, buyers, transport leads, DC leads and outside carriers for the successful execution of initiativesProject: App Maintenance consulting / project management
Work with internal Supply Chain team to identify app requirements, data inputs and storageLead project timelines, key achievements, project updates and involvement of key business unitsSupport system project of database app creation towards ensuring that the functional design and delivered solutions meet business requirementsLead joint decision making and functional design with supply chain functions on the build and delivery of the applicationEnsures Loblaw Technology and Supply Chain system experts jointly build Loblaw Technology business requirement documents, functional designs, and testing strategiesEnsure standardized configuration, process, reporting in systems delivery and documentationProvide regular updates to key business partnersLead the maintenance of standardized database documentation, business operational definitions, data identification and sourcing, educational and training material for application solutionWhat you’ll need:
1-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or business operations role would be an assetUniversity or College degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relatedDemonstrated success with the planning and execution of system projects with multiple teams or business partnersAnalytical and organizational skills; committed to meeting deadlines and targetsComfort working in a highly flexible environment independently and collectivelyThorough with strong organizational, project and time management skills with ability to adapt to changeAbility to problem-solving, conduct and identify root cause analysis.Strong communication abilitiesExperience with spreadsheet software and inventory management toolsMicrosoft Power Platform - Experience with Microsoft Power Automate a strong asset Dynamic 365, VBA Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)Curious Mindset – trouble shooter – Logical ThinkingSolution focused, creative and technical capabilities to fulfill unique business demandsComfort working various levels of leadershipAt Loblaw, we respect the environment, source products with integrity and make a positive difference in the community.
