What You Will DoUnique to the sourcing organizations, our expeditors play a key role in deliver of product on our vessels as port times and less than an 11-hour period. Collaboration with key partners both shoreside and on vessel are vital to overall success of expeditors. Expeditors timely response to requests, strong communication along with exceptional time management allow for delivery of key items while remaining keen to minimizing cost, impact to Guests and sailings. Assists in managing vendor relationships by tracking supplier performance to meet on-time delivery, responsiveness and support speed to market. Supports as a team member, select initiatives designed to improve departmental operations.
Responsibilities:Provide order support and tracking for DCL Vessels
Works post purchase order execution to ensure delivery in accordance with expected delivery date of vessel
Interacts successfully with global suppliers to define lead and delivery times
Provide tracking of supplier performance, providing qualitative feedback to business partners to ensure continuous supplier success
Provide timely, weekly communication to all stakeholders
Supports all departmental initiatives
Creating and delivering compelling quantitative analyses and is solution-focused
Fostering a collaborative environment among stakeholders (fleet, shoreside, warehouse, logistics, payables, and sourcing teams; etc.)
Create and share best practices, ensuring evolution of department and team as DCL fleet expands
Required Qualifications & Skills:1+ years of sourcing, logistics and expediting experience
Outstanding communication (both oral and written)
Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis in MS Excel
Keeps commitments and understands how to prioritize work with urgency
Interacts well with people who have different cultures, backgrounds and work styles (Invites diverse points of view)
Preferred Qualifications:AMOS- platform experience
Experience with Coupa and other RFX tools
Experience with SAP or other ERP
Required Education:Bachelor’s degree or similar experience is required
