This position is responsible for expediting and facilitating the flow of materials to and from various suppliers for projects. He/she also makes sure that the right materials arrive in a timely manner inspects goods upon pickup and delivery to ensure the level of quality and quantity and to ensure adherence to specifications. This position will work directly with managers and vendors to ensure accurate and on time delivery of goods to appropriate locations and frequently use filings and computer systems to maintain organization.
ResponsibilitiesDuties & Responsibilities
Expedite activities or purchase items at various vendors to meet project schedules.
Track orders, receive goods, and deliver goods as required.
Record and maintain inventory of quantity, material type, parts received and distributed, manually or by using a computer.
Confer with supervisors to determine overdue materials and parts and to inform supervisors about the status of the product(s).Pickup and deliver items daily and deliver in timely manner to said projects in coordination with superintendents, project managers, and equipment manager.
Maintain company vehicle and ensure timely maintenance.
Frequently check-in with suppliers to ensure timely delivery on agreed date.
Responsible for managing timely deliveries.
Pick up, deliver, and transport special high priority materials as requested by managers.Additional job duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.Certificate/License:
Valid Alaska Driver's License and three (3) year clean driving record. Employee must follow all Authorized Driver Policy Procedures regarding approved vehicle usage.Ability to pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing program requirements.Required Experience:
