Summary of Job Duties:The Expense Reimbursement Coordinator reports to the Director of Travel Management and is responsible for the centralized processing of employee business travel requests and reimbursements for the consolidated UAMS entity. The Expense Reimbursement Coordinator is responsible for reviewing travel requests for appropriate business purpose prior to travel taking place. Once travel is completed, responsibilities include auditing travel reimbursements and related vendor payments to ensure compliance with prudent business practices, UAMS policies and State travel regulations.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field plus 3 years of applicable experience or High School Diploma plus 7 years of applicable experience3 years of experience in providing customer service, conflict resolution and problem solving, accounting for business activity, authorizing disbursements and auditing procedures.Ability to interact positively with a wider variety of personalitiesSkilled in communication, persuasion and consultingSkilled in use of computers, accounting for travel management software and Microsoft Office softwareAble to give good attention to detailAbility to work in an office environment for 40 hours per week and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications: 

Training in the travel industry or business settings with a focus on accountability, auditing cost control and documentation of decisions and activity5 years of experience regularly working with the public in consulting, auditing or explaining policies and proceduresKnowledge of travel or hospitality industryKnowledge of accounting principles and practicesKnowledge of large scale accounting software systems as a user with working knowledge of SAP and Workday preferred
