Hyland is building the future of intelligent enterprise software. The Experience Designer will use strengths in usability, interaction design, and visual design to create simple, intuitive, and joyful experiences for end users of Hyland products.

This role is remote-friendly and will require availability in evenings to meet with colleagues in the U.S. and Europe in the evenings

Partner with research and product management partners to translate user insights and customer needs into design concepts, journeys, wireframes, mockups and prototypes using industry standard toolsPerform design work for one or multiple products, delivering user-focused design solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle—from initial research, conception, and requirements gathering to development, release, and ongoing refinement.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders including product managers, product owners, development engineers and senior management to drive product visionDemonstrate ability to give and receive effective feedback to other team membersCollaborate with user researchers to execute research which informs, optimizes, and evolves our productsLeverage the shared enterprise design system and contribute feedback, suggestions, and proposals based on product requirementsPresent design work and concepts to stakeholders, clearly articulating reasoning, principles, and user insights which drive design decisionsProvide annotated design specifications and documentation that detail interaction behaviors and acceptance criteria for developersComply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

 

What will make you successful Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience4+ years in a UX design or related role, preferably designing for enterprise softwareProfessional UX portfolio that demonstrates both pragmatic and creative thinkingProficiency with FigmaProven experience creating high-quality and effective design artifacts including concepts, journeys, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypesExperience with responsive, mobile and product designExperience integrating user research insights into product designsDemonstrated success collaborating with developers and product owners in defining and designing digital products and experiencesExperience working across teams to integrate feedback and input from diverse stakeholders (product managers, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders)Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tactGood organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skillsGood communication and collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other employeesGood critical thinking and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environmentAbility to work efficiently and independently on one or more projects, often with ambiguity, constraints of time and scope, and technical complexityAbility to support work verbally and visually with design rationale, data and/or user researchUp to 5% travel time required
