+ JOB REQUIREMENTS
+ Education
+ Master of Science in nursing required. Board Certification by recognized governing body for an Acute Care APRN (ANCC or AANP). Relevant experience required includes prior Emergency Department training or employment with trauma experience.
Licensed and in good standing with the state of Arkansas as both a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority in Arkansas. Licensed to prescribe controlled substance by the DEA and is in good standing. Basic Life Saver (BCLS) from AHA. Certification: ACLS from AHA, ATLS, TNCC. Certification: Possess or working toward Board Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN). Must have relevant clinical competence in providing acute care to Trauma, Emergency and Intensive Care to emergency room patients and their families.

+ Relevant clinical competence in area of Acute Care Advanced Practice Nursing; must possess current knowledge of the Advanced nursing process and its application as it relates to diagnosis, evaluation, assessment, and plan of those patients suffering from Trauma, Critical Care, and Cardiac or related acute disease processes. Must possess advanced provider knowledge of Cardiac Care. Must possess advanced provider knowledge of Trauma Care. Must possess advanced provider knowledge of Cardiac Device Management.

+ JOB SUMMARY
+ The Advanced Practice Clinical Provider (APRN-Trauma/Cardiology) is a Clinical Nurse Leadership role in the Emergency Department (ED) of SBMC. This individual functions as a medical provider, rendering safe, competent quality care based on clinical practice guidelines for Trauma/Cardiology from the respective governing organizations (ACC, ACEP, ACS, etc). Acts as the primary ED Provider for indicated patients referred by medical providers. Acts as the Director of APRN providers in the ED at SBMC and as a liaison with the contracted ED service providers. Acts as the primary Acute care provider in the ED for Tele-Cardiology. Acts as the ED-OBS/Cardiology provider in the ED. Demonstrates the ability to work in a team. Displays effective communication and critical thinking. Responsible for deploying Cardiac telemedicine in the Emergency Department where the individual will act as the provider.
