Job Description

Grosvenor Casino, The Victoria

With the exciting upcoming investment, we will be operating two brand new cash desks within the venue & therefore we are looking for experienced cashiers to join our expanding team.

As a cashier, you will be entrusted with the finances of the club, correctly accounting for all transactions whilst complying with all gambling regulations and protecting the reputation of the company by adhering to its policies.

You will;

Acknowledge, welcome and assist customers in the Cash DeskLive our values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition, Responsibility and SolutionsCollaborate and work as part of the cash desk and wider casino teamTo comply with all company procedures as required by the cash desk manualTo comply with the Gambling Act, its regulations and Gambling Commission license conditions and codes of practice.Where appropriate, recommend the loyalty program to customersSupport with any cash or asset counts in the clubMaintain thorough records and accounts of all operations in the cash desk as per the cash desk manual and requested by the head cashierReports to the head cashier

Salary ranges from £33,488 - £36,878 per annum depending on experience (full time).

Qualifications

 

Minimum 12 months experience operating as a cashier in a casino cash desk & PFL is essentialExcellent numeracy skills, with the ability to account for and manage large sums of cash accuratelyStrong understanding of or willingness to learn legislation related to the cash desk function, sufficient to pass a competency testMust be able to work shifts at any time of the day, including weekends and bank holidaysExceptional customer service skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanour in high-pressure situationsProficiency in using cash handling equipment and casino management softwareDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recordsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) procedures and responsible gambling practicesAbility to stand for extended periods and handle physical aspects of the jobFlexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and casino needsPrevious experience in a high-volume cash handling environment is preferred
