If you are passionate about next-generation 6G cellular systems, we encourage you to apply.DescriptionDescription- Analyze and define cellular system requirements. - Set and track end-to-end cellular platform KPIs, including modem performance and energy efficiency, from both a system-wide and end-user perspective. - Provide technical leadership in cross-functional engineering teams. Present sophisticated technical topics to multi-level audiences, including executives. - Identify and drive innovation for cellular platforms with a focus on optimizing modem performance and user experience. - Contribute to the development of related simulators and technology demonstrators to ensure robust functionality and performance. - Build intellectual propertyMinimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsStrong expertise in 5G, wireless signal processing, RF, and baseband system design.Hands-on experience in real-time prototyping, link and system simulations, and RF performance analysis.Very good understanding of UE baseband and RF architectures, including interface design between different subsystems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in achieving complex technical goals.Key QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsMaster or a Ph.D. in Wireless System Engineering, or Electrical/Communications Engineering with extensive years of working experience.Experience in 5G/6G research, advanced RF/PHY/MAC layer design for sub-10 GHz and mm-wave communications.Knowledge of advanced network topologies, including non-terrestrial systems and device-to-device communications.Consistent track record in developing and productizing wireless systems, from concept to commercial deployment.Strong understanding of wireless standards and regulatory requirements.Apple is an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
