Are you an experienced CNC operator?  We would invite you to join our team at IMT!  Our fabrication team is looking for hardworking, dedicated team members to join us.

Summary:

These operators are setting up and operating the CNC machines proficiently and editing a CNC program for proper function.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Interpret advance engineering drawings, understanding design requirement including datums, critical dimensions and tolerances.Sets up CNC machining and / or turning centers to achieve required specifications.Effectively program, setup, & operate multiple CNC machines producing high quality parts.Monitor parts to ensure adherence to drawings and within tolerances.Shape, sharpen, set cutter & adjust tools to achieve desired print tolerance.Knowledge & ability to setup bore gauges & other measuring equipment.Complete all required paperwork, including labor reporting & documentation of quality control & material movement.Continually on the move, prepping / moving heavy parts. Being a reliable and punctual team member.

Basic Qualifications:

Advanced blueprint reading, mathematical and technical skills.Ability to use standard tooling such as, micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.Basic knowledge of boring bars, drills and other required tooling used to run a CNC machine. Frequent lifting / carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  Lifting devices are available and recommended.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year experience beneficial.Ability to read blueprints, understanding tolerances.Basic knowledge of different material types is beneficial.HS diploma or GED.
