JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Advocates for the development and optimization of user-centered solutions aimed at delivering on the organization’s value proposition over its competition through development of technology solutions.
Creates design briefs that outline design iterations, prioritized concepts and timelines.
Generates user centric designs and interactive prototypes/wireframes that align with user research findings, business goals, and brand standards.
Communicates the product’s vision to partners and customers to test and explore venture opportunities.
Participates in visual problem-solving, supports Product team in building epics & stories, and collaborates with other designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that UX deliverables are aligned with project timelines and goals.
Conducts user research, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and other user feedback methods to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors.
Develops choices around design and user interfaces, conducts and analyzes usability tests to evaluate their effectiveness and usability. Utilizes findings from usability tests to identify areas of improvement and iterates to develop designs that solve customer challenges.
Presents prototypes to a large audience and key stakeholders of Product team as and when required.
Develops and maintains a design system or pattern library that includes design patterns, components, and guidelines for consistent and cohesive user experiences across different platforms and devices.
Stays up-to-date with the latest trends, leading practices, and emerging technologies in the field of UX design. Actively improves skills and knowledge through professional development, attending conferences and workshops, and staying engaged with the UX design community.
Job Requirements:
Experience with standard UX software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
Strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and addressing usability and accessibility concerns
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Collaborative mindset, fostering teamwork and effective cross-functional relationships
Proactive and results-oriented approach to work
Decision Authority:
Leads projects or work streams independently and contributes to their planning
May act as professional expertise information resource for colleagues in own area, advising on a particular topic with a degree of authority
Requires advanced problem-solving skills involving filtering, interpretation and validation of dynamic information
Works independently, receives minimal guidance
May coordinate resources for a small team and contribute to the effectiveness of their contributions to the broader area
