Boeing Aerospace OperationsThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer – 2nd Shift located in San Antonio TX.
As a member of the F/A – 18 Service Life Modification (SLM) team, you will lead important elements of the program to include the Standard Repair Manual (SRM) and the Service Life Assessment Program (SLAP) and Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) efforts. Additionally, in this role you’ll play a key role as the program leader for Lean implementation across multiple modification sites. We are looking for you to bring your experience in project management, business acumen, and ability to lead and/or influence cross-functional teams to deliver on commitments.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies. Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge, and experience.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Level 2: 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR work-related experience with a Masters degreeLevel 3: 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters degreePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
