Experienced Power Plant EHS Specialist (8 positions)
**A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)** **As the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Business partner for the Service Operations (SO) organization, you will play a vital role in the success of our Gas Services operations. In this role, you will be an embedded business partner to the region head, and responsible for all aspects of Environmental Health and Safety, from project planning to project execution.** **How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)** + **Support EHS operations while working with regional operations manager. Act as peer to the District service managers in each region. While providing EHS planning and compliance and guidance to District project teams.** + **Work closely with outage teams in the risk identification and mitigation and evaluate implementation of safety practices and procedures during outage events.** + **Visit active project sites to conduct EHS observations and assessments, and work with project teams to address identified risks or deficiencies. Develop innovative ways to empower the crew to maintain a strong EHS culture and maintain safe work practices** + **Provide EHS data as required for Siemens Energy’s internal reporting** + **Professional interaction with customer leadership.** + **Support incident investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of Near Miss and incidents to ensure safe work procedures are being followed with respect to Company policy, OHSA, EPA, DOT, and client/ company policy as well as applicable regulatory state and federal laws within the specified area where work is being performed.** **Hiring 8 positions in support of:** + **Fossil East** + **Fossil South** + **Fossil West** + **Fossil Canada** + **Nuclear Region 1** + **Nuclear Region 2** + **Nuclear Region 3** + **International** **Ideal locations are Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Orlando or Houston, Toronto. Other possible locations Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Kansas City, Jupiter, Malvern, Milwaukee** **What You Bring (requirements)** + **Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with 8+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN industrial safety** + **Candidate must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the EHS concepts and practices. A degree in Safety Science is a plus.** + **This position requires an understanding of OSHA, Worker's Compensation, EPA, DOT, and applicable State regulations and how these regulations impact our business.** + **Demonstrate knowledge and experience with root cause analysis (RCA) assessment and incident investigation.** + **This position requires travel, potentially exceeding 75%.** + **Knowledge of Human Factors/Human Performance is a plus.** **Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. For positionsbased in the United States, the base salary range is $100,000.00 to $150,000.00with overtime annually, and the annual incentive target is from 0 to 10% of thebase salary.** **Specific offers are determined by various factors, such asexperience, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
