R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will define engineering opportunities for the ABB switchgear portfolio. You will specify requirements and develop novel protection concepts for evolving applications such as microgrids, energy storage systems, or new topologies for a sustainable energy generation and distribution. You will perform experiments, model the underlying physical phenomena and utilize state-of-the-art simulations to develop new protection solutions for medium and low voltage grids.Reporting to the research team manager, you will engage with cross-functional teams inside and outside the company and work together to demonstrate these concepts in prototypes serving as starting points for products. Further, you will contribute to the definition of the team research roadmap and to the management of the research projects.Reporting to the research team manager, you will engage with cross-functional teams inside and outside the company and work together to demonstrate these concepts in prototypes serving as starting points for products.
