Department Overview
The Supply Chain organization serves as the stewards of PG&E’s annual $10 billion in goods and services spend. It is responsible for managing the procurement and handling of products and services and operates with a mission of delivering cost effective and valued supply chain services through strategic, diverse and sustainable business solutions. The organization is also responsible for providing systems support for Supply Chain’s procurement systems. Our work requires close integration with all lines of business, finance and our suppliers.
Position Summary
Provides Supply Chain Systems support focusing on development and maintenance of Supply Chain systems (SAP), tools, data, reports, and analytics to support the Supply Chain organization in its performing and monitoring of day-to-day activities, programs, and initiatives. Ensures that meaningful, consistent data is available for reporting and analytics. Works with Supply Chain and client personnel to identify system needs. Works with the PG&E IT organization to develop system solutions and manage the execution of those solutions. Technical knowledge of SAP Materials Management is required to be successful in this position.
This location for this position is flexible and may be located anywhere in PG&E’s service territory. Occasional travel to attend team meetings or provide in person trainings may be required.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $118,000.
Bay Area Maximum: $188,000.
&/OR
California Minimum: $112,000.
California Maximum: $179,000.
Job Responsibilities
Liaison between IT, Supply Chain and functional areas within the company. Leads system maintenance and implementation of enhancements, coordinates scheduling, testing and functional validation. Develops and generates recurring reports and complex ad hoc queries, some database design. Provides system support (SAP table maintenance, mass updates, file uploads, etc.). Manages roles to allow access to functionality. Develops and delivers systems related communications. Works independently and requires guidance only on the most complicated issues. Provides direction to Analysts and Associates with respect to system support and reporting responsibilities.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required (one year of experience for every one year of college) 4 years of experience in supply chain or in financial systems development, and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of SAP MM functionality (understanding of tables and data relationships/structures) Knowledge of Supply chain processes (creating orders, inventory movements, goods receipts, invoicing and payment) Proficient with SQL Server Experience in Database design Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) Advanced Analytical SkillsDesired:
5-6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or financial systems development and maintenance 2+ years of leadership experience MBA or equivalent advanced degree Knowledge of Ariba, SAP BW, S/4 Knowledge of SAP FI/CO, PM modules Power BI Communication Skills Ability to work on cross functional teams
