About UPMC Shadyside 3 East:

3 East is a family practice and teaching unit with 23 beds and a great foundational unit for nurses starting their careers! The patient population on 3 East comprises all ages being treated for a wide array of conditions and need compassionate and expert nursing care. 3 East offers a fertile learning environment with exposure to diverse patient care opportunities. 

High-Acuity Patients: Nurses on these care for patients comprised of all ages who are being treated for a wide array of conditions and are in need of compassionate and expert nursing care. Career Advancement: Professional development initiatives and leadership support empower nurses to become active and respected participants within the interprofessional team that provides evidence-based, compassionate care to our patients.  Fast-Paced Teamwork: Our Registered Nurses work rotation shifts including weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor. 

Here’s how we support our nurses:

Generous Sign-On Bonus of up to $20,000 (*Amount and eligibility based on type of nursing role and candidate experience). Up to five and a half weeks of Paid Time Off annually, plus seven paid holidays each year.
