What You'll Do
Travel, Cities and Infrastructure (TCI) Practice Area is one of BCG's newest industry practices. The PA focuses on Infrastructure, travel, transportation, cities, real estate and logistics which form a significant and very dynamic part of the global economy. Massive amounts of public and private capital are flowing into physical infrastructure upgrades as well as sweeping changes driven by digitization and the climate transition. Very significant public and private entities exist in this space with bold ambitions over the coming decade. These topics also have far-reaching effects in areas such as climate resilience, holistic liveability, sustainable mobility and equality. The PA collaborates closely with the Public Sector, PI, Energy and TMT PAs so as to bring the best of BCG to our clients. With its ambitions to build, advance and move the communities of tomorrow, the PA intends to be a voice of reason in its industries.
BCG is looking for an Expert Project Leader to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise, and advanced technical capabilities in Geopolitics & Global Trade, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Strategy, Cluster Development, and Trade & Investment Promotion. You will be a core member of BCG’s Global Advantage Practice working alongside some of the world’s top minds in the industry. You will also significantly contribute to the development of our Geopolitics & Trade Impact and Economic Advantage of Nations topic(s) expertise.

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring
7+ years of experience including managerial; encompassing:
Expertise in at least one area from each of the two below subsets:
Geopolitics, Trade Promotion, Trade Defence, Trade Risk & Compliance, Intersection of Climate Regulations & Trade, and Supply Chain and Operations
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Strategy / Cluster Development, Cluster Development, Export Promotion, and Investment Promotion
Ideally combining the following elements:
Consulting: Experience within a high-calibre consulting organization will be an asset. Familiarity with the practices and techniques of consulting (e.g., project management, content development, and output using power point)
Private-sector: Experience with a multi-national private-sector firm, in particular, roles related to strategy and/or international business and/or operations
Public Sector: Experience with public sector entities at a regional or national level, if such experience is in a foreign / trade policy or investment promotion context
Education
MBA or Master’s degree from a top tier institute with a strong academic record
Professional Skills & Other Attributes
Client service orientation, including commercial capabilities
Proven track record of interacting and managing senior stakeholders
Analytical and structured with excellent problem-solving skills (hypothesis driven approach, advanced quantitative analysis skills etc.)
Ability to synthesize the impact of policy and drive to the “so what” for business
Excellent track record of project/team leadership and related achievements
Ability to drive to output through client presentation
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent written and spoken English.
Intercultural competence and experience of working in more than one country and/or multi-cultural teams would be a strong plus
