Exploitation Specialist

The Exploitation Specialist will manage existing data holdings; implement data policies, standards, and requirements to ensure integrity and quality; drive the collection of additional data; cleanse and condition data as needed for use in multiple applications and products.
+ Manage data-related issues throughout the data life cycle, including creation, evaluation, organization, storage, deletion, documentation, and dissemination.
+ Implement data policies, standards, and requirements to ensure integrity and quality.
+ Perform data conditioning techniques and processes for data management purposes.
+ Conceptualize the relationship between a database structure and the requirements for analyzing and visualizing those data both temporally and spatially.
+ Work with various stakeholders to develop data strategies and provide the data necessary to meet mission requirements. Works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals.
+ Analyzes common user needs to determine functional requirements for client projects.
+ Responds to user requests for common system needs.
+ Performs technical assessments aimed at improving client systems.
+ Researches, identifies, and recommends resources required for task execution and completion.
+ Provides analysis and the development of business and functional requirements for small to mid-scale initiatives.
+ Serves as functional advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends small to mid-scale functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.
+ Generates small to mid-scale recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other documents provided to senior-level client personnel.
+ Consults with clients to determine optimum requirements and design for assigned projects.
+ Identifies emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
+ Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and provide inputs to training materials.
+ Performs functional testing of various systems.
+ Serves as client liaison and coordinates with sub-contractors, project stakeholders, and technical experts.
+ Benchmarks industry best practices to measure organization’s position.
+ End-to-end ownership of assigned initiatives through implementation.
+ Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor of Science degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, mathematics, statistics, earth science, quantitative social sciences, geographic information science, computer science, physics, or a related field.
+ Demonstrated experience using quantitative and qualitative techniques to solve complex problems using analytic tools and techniques such as GIS, quantitative methods and data visualization, modeling, systems analysis, comparative analysis, and database development.
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data mining, cleansing, and exploring spatial, temporal, and non-spatial data in both structured and unstructured formats.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Pig or R), modeling software, spatial analysis tools and concepts, data mining methods, database structures and analytic information extraction and visualization.
+ Proficiency in MS Office suite.
+ 4-8 years of relevant experience.
+ **Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI clearance.**

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
