*Reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, you will be part of the Surface Exploration Department. You will support the exploration and/or production departments by handling, processing and sampling/cutting of diamond drill core and doing basic labor support functions for Exploration. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Pick up drill core from headframe/drill site, open boxes arrange in order, and check for block footage errors; Tag hole number and footages for each box and place core boxes in rack, then bundle box lids for re-use; Cut core as per training procedure, checking for QA/QC samples; Complete cutting log book/sheet and complete lab analysis form; Palletize/dump logged and sampled core boxes; Deliver sampled core/chips/mucks to the assay lab if on the mine site as required; Maintain good housekeeping at all times, ensuring proper PPE and tools are used for all tasks; Operate forklift as per proper training, moving core skids with core or samples and other materials; Take part in storing pulps and rejects as required; Assist geologists as required; Strive to continually improve our operations environmental performance and management, both with reporting and corrective actions; Other duties as assigned. *Reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, you will be part of the Surface Exploration Department.
