The Export Compliance Lead– ITAR will primarily assist the Global Trade Compliance Director/Empowered Official and Westinghouse’s Long-Term Operations (LTO) Parts business at our New Stanton, PA location. This role is mobile with required onsite work in New Stanton, 2-3 days per week.
Your Day to Day:
Maintain Compliance with:
1. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR:) Compliance for LTO’s Parts Business, 2. Oversight of global export classification and operations for the LTO Parts Business, and 3. Leading ITAR and Trade Operations to support LTO’s Parts Business. This role is required to collaborate within the Global Compliance Team, the Westinghouse LTO Parts Business, the Data Management Team, Information Technology Teams, and all other relevant business functions. The Export Compliance Lead– ITAR will also be responsible for the following activities:
Lead ITAR and Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (“UNNPI”) compliance for the Westinghouse Global Trade Compliance Program Continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with the ITAR and UNNPI Seek to optimize, streamline, and standardize export classification and operation processes and procedures Actively engage Westinghouse engineers and supply chain in the export classification process Work with relevant internal parties to streamline the use of classification and shipping systems for the LTO Parts Business Create and provide targeted export compliance training programs
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree required. 5+ years of previous export compliance experience desired Broad technical knowledge of U.S. export control laws and regulations, with specific emphasis on the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Experience leading export control and product classification initiatives Experience with ITAR Compliance is preferred. Experience dealing with U.S. nuclear export regulatory agencies is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work across international regions and cultures. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly, proactively (timely), and concisely communicate with corporate, regional and local management, as well as business partners. Works independently in a fast-paced collaborative environment and efficiently works within deadlines. Possesses strong organizational skills. Adaptive, flexible, and able to function effectively in a highly complex global environment with a proven ability to multi-task. Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong skills in Excel and SharePoint. Experience with SAP a must.Why Westinghouse?
