Export Control Business Partner (f/m/d) - DI Motion Control

You will lead the Legal Compliance Export Control unit for the respective DI business unit globally. The function is a management function to implement global trade compliance strategy, efficient processes, consulting and advice, and strategies to and collaborating with individuals at all levels within the business to enable adherence to the Siemens Export Control Program and all applicable export regulations. The position also leads a virtual global network of Export Control Professionals, Export Control Associates and other Export Control Business Partners.

 Responsibilities

You define and implement global trade compliance strategies to ensure compliance with export control requirements across the global DI MC organizationYou will advise in complex export compliance legal matters and engage with authorities and Siemens departments e.g. Legal, Governmental Affairs and other Siemens unitsYou run and lead a global virtual network of Export Control and Legal professionals and associatesYou lead projects to develop innovative AI solutions and lean processes to enable export control compliant new businessYou cooperate within a strong network of regulatory bodies, legal and administrative authorities, governmental affairs and demonstrate a strong and reliable implementation of a global Siemens Internal Control Program (ICP)Provide regular communication and training to the assigned businesses on relevant export control and related legal topicsResolve Export Control blocking issues and complete approvals for certain higher risk transactionsLead trade compliance risk assessments and monitor compliance improvement plans based on risks identifiedSupervise and support global export classifications, consult sales and customers in all export classification requests.Be a trusted partner/ legal advisor at executive and management level with all organizations involved in global trade transactions to ensure trade compliance.Engage with senior leaders on strategies and initiatives that affect global trade compliance and where trade matters may impact strategy.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

EducationMaster's degree in business law, business administration, international business or a corresponding subject area or equivalent of education with additional working experience in related fieldExperience & SkillsMany years of professional experience in legal trade compliance with international leadership experience ideally based on a law degreeMust have an extensive functional legal knowledge of US, China and European Union export control regulations.Your phenomenal understanding of Siemens Internal Control Program, a plusStrong understanding of Digital IndustryStrong experience in drafting formal legal correspondence with government agencies and strong working experience with export regulatory bodies and trade associations.Ways of workingStrong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skillsStrong project management skillsPrevious experience managing people is requiredLanguagesProficient in EnglishOther Languages, a plus
