Freight Forwarder International Operations/Export & Warehouse Manager – (Highly Skilled in all Facets of International Operations Air & Ocean, Warehouse / Freight Forwarder)

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining internal operational databases ensuring compliance with the company’s International Partner standards as well as TSA requirements and regulationsAssist in the creation of International Partner KPI’sAssisting in monthly review of International Partners for compliance, score cards, etc.Effectively manage all International queries, handling shipments, communication & problem solving, quickly and efficiently.Assist with obtaining and negotiating overseas quotes from partnering offices and agents to include monitoring and responding quickly to incoming/outgoing correspondence.Correct preparation of shipment quoting, routing, documentations, rate negotiation, tracking and billing (air, ocean and domestic)Assisting sales teams and global partners with air & ocean import and export issues.Ability & knowledge of HTS, ISF Fillings, Schedule B and ECCN determination.Interface with branch/station managers/owners, International Operations Teams, Account Executives, Customers, Overseas Agents, & Vendors and executive level managementFamiliar with the varying processes of US Ports of Export and EntryPreparation of import & export documents as neededAssist in ensuring the correct preparation of International documents; MBL, HBL, (ocean and air)Assist in Expediting, airfreight & ocean shipments to / from USA origins of destination.General office and operational support.Become a “Trainer” for International OperationsManagement of warehouse operation
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Worked a minimum of 5 years, in freight forwarding with good employment historyBachelor degree preferredFreight forwarding experience in domestic and internationalTeam leadership/management experienceMature with strong attendance and on-time work ethicAbility to multi-task with strong attention to detail.MS Word, Excel, Outlook, experience is requiredIndividual must have a high level of initiative, self-starterMinimum of 5 year of experience in International and freight forwarding operationsExperience with customer relations and relationship managementExcellent planning and organizing skills and be able to be adept at problem solving and have good negotiating skillsMust be able to effectively & clearly communicate verbally and in written form across all levels of the organization
