Job Purpose:

To ensure that all capital equipment and spare parts are packed to a high standard for both UK and export dispatch, ensuring no damage occurs during transit. This role is ideal for an individual with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Main Duties:

Manufacture Crates and Packing: Construct crates and bases, and pack items securely for UK and export shipments.

Loading and Unloading Vehicles: Assist in loading and unloading vehicles efficiently.

Team Collaboration: Work within a small team to meet schedule requirements for export and UK dispatches.

Manual Handling: Perform repetitive lifting duties (light, medium, heavy) within manual handling guidelines.

Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Equipment Care: Safeguard all company equipment.

Candidate Profile:

Demonstrated experience in packing or a related field is beneficial.

Basic machine shop skills, such as using hand tools, are desirable.

Experience working in a manufacturing, case-making, or carpentry environment is beneficial.

Familiarity with timber machinery is desirable.

Ability to work as a team player but also independently.

Organized, disciplined, and able to work to schedules.

Flexible with the ability to work overtime and assist in other areas when necessary.

High respect for all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Good verbal, written, and numerical skills.

Desirable Skills:

Qualified to drive a forklift truck and operate cranes/slings (training can be provided).

Familiarity with MS Office (Excel and Word).
