Exports and Shipping Analyst

Salary: From 1930 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rule
OPPORTUNITY
The Export and Shipping Analyst will be part of a small, highly skilled team of SMEs within the IEO function. Your expertise and knowledge will help ensure success across current operations and customer base checking and raising the appropriate documentation to allow our goods to travel internationally by various modes of transport. You will be responsible for supporting the Export & Shipping Operations Supervisor in the attainment of metrics, including those relating to the Right-First-Time creation of appropriate documentation across TD and KD Export Operations. This will require engagement with international customer partners and freight providers. In addition, this role will be the first line of defence for identifying and resolving immediate operational issues, whilst also ensuring that all risks, issues and any stakeholder concerns are highlighted to the Export & Shipping Continuous Improvement team for root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Work with internal and external teams to coordinate data and customer documentation requirements for the timely execution of exports (and in support of customer imports). Transact production, pre-production and non-production air freight and sea freight shipping requests. Use the team skills matrix to identify and record own knowledge and skills gaps relating to KD and TD shipping processes and engage constructively with the training process to reach target competency levels. Work accurately and efficiently to departmental processes, to ensure that system shipping exactly corresponds to physical shipments made each day. Undertake periodic reviews of assigned core processes to validate accuracy or suggest required amendments. Highlight required amendments to the E&S Continuous Improvement team (for whole E&S team retraining). Perform daily departmental records management to maintain audit compliance. Proactively identify data quality issues and ensure inaccurate data is corrected. Respond appropriately and professionally to system failures and customer queries. Highlight opportunities for avoiding future failures or improving operational efficiency to the E&S Continuous Improvement team. Liaise constructively with LLPs (lead logistics providers), customs brokers, carriers and forwarders. Undertake any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with your job as may be requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Good understanding of documentation and processes required to ship goods internationally by sea and air.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar shipping software.
• Evidence of strong teamwork skills and resilience.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance within the 3PL structure.
• Ability to resolve issues in high pressure environments.
• Capable of managing large data sets in Excel.
• Knowledge of the Automotive Industry.
• Key stroke experience of using SAP.
• Previous work experience for a large international logistics supplier or blue-chip organisation in an Export environment.
