Exports Assistant Product Manager

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for overall brand management of all categories present in North America.

Responsible for generating consumer demand in North America through development and execution of marketing programs and new products aligned with the key marketing strategies while ensuring product compliance and trademark protection

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Market Research and Analysis Conducts regular competitive market scans, market trend analysis, and offtake assessments Collaborates with Consumer Insights Group (CIG) and Product Development team in conducting appropriate market research that will aid in identifying opportunities in the market. Brand / Product Strategy Works with the Exports Product Manager in developing the strategies and programs for the Marketing Plan for North America focusing on the 4Ps – product portfolio, place/distribution, pricing, and promotions. New Product Development and Compliance Leads in the development of new product launches, product harmonization/transition, and compliance projects. Conducts regular compliance checks with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the latest market regulations. Brand Building Activities and Promotions Implementation Designs marketing activities and promotions for both nationwide rollout and customer/area – specific, coordinating with various stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure timely and proper execution of these initiatives. Financial Management (pricing structure/strategy) Conducts regular pricing review to ensure competitiveness and analyzes how pricing structures impact the product pricing and profitability Proposes price adjustments to meet pricing strategies and financial targets. Manages spending of North America’s A&P budget effectively. Management Reporting Assists in preparing regular management presentations (i.e. Business Operations Review, Export Monthly Operations Review) and other ad-hoc reports to Exports MANCOM and Management. Co-chairs marketing-led monthly meetings (i.e. NPD Review, Sales & Marketing Alignment, PD Alignments, International Trademark Meeting). Aligns expense monitoring with Exports MANCOM and submits monthly A&P and trade cost accrual report to Finance. Brand Maintenance and Other Functions Collaborates with the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and Sales Team in providing the necessary documents and requirements to protect our trademarks in this market. Works with Exports team in ensuring accurate volume forecasting and management of customized raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

Engages with industry partners such as Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), to identify insights and opportunities for expanding the exports business.

Manages administrative requirements of the marketing organization, including the preparation and processing of documents (i.e. PRM, DRP, IO creation in SAP).

 

 

       A.   Education

College Graduate preferably in Marketing or Management and Business Administration, Economics and any other business-related courses

 

Working Experience

                      

With at least 3-4 years experience in brand management in an FMCG company as a Brand Assistant or Assistant Product Manager who has handled or worked on both above-the-line and below-the-line marketing initiatives

 

        C.  Working Conditions

Willing to work beyond regular working hours as necessary due to time zone of markets handled

Office based but with foreign travel as required
