The role Join SoftwareOne as an AWS Solution Architect in Tokyo, Japan. Work with dedicated teams to develop magnificent enterprise cloud solutions and be recognized for your expertise. Core Accountabilities: Engage with clients to define AWS cloud technology architecture and map business requirements to IT capabilities. Lead the development of enterprise cloud solutions, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance. Coordinate and collaborate with multiple customers to gather business and technical requirements. Design and implement cloud-based solutions, integrating applications, data, and technology within the enterprise. Support the modernisation of legacy systems through migration to cloud architectures, using APIs, microservices, and containerisation. Conduct workshops with client teams to align technical architecture with business objectives. Job-Specific Accountabilities: Define IT architecture and cloud-based solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements. Lead workshops with customers, including C-level customers, to define project goals and output. Build solutions that leverage AWS IaaS and PaaS services, ensuring they meet customer needs for scalability and performance. Design network architectures, including WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, and virtual networking, to support cloud solutions. Build automated solutions for server provisioning, resource monitoring, and system health management. What we need to see from you Existing full-time work rights in Japan Language proficiency: Full-professional Japanese and working-level English Min. 5 years of relevant AWS solution architect or equivalent (developing/designing) experience Core Skills: Strategic mind and ability to quickly grasp new technologies. Strong leadership in delivering consulting workshops and engaging with senior customers/collaborators. Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal teams and clients. Ability to lead time effectively and adapt to changing project demands. Consistent track record of innovation and solution development in cloud architecture. Job-Specific Skills: 5+ years of validated experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions using microservices, APIs, containerisation, and cloud IaaS/PaaS. Hands-on experience with SOA, ESB, API platforms, and API security. Experience in system modernisation and migration to cloud-based platforms. Technical Skills: Expertise in AWS technologies, with a particularly in crafting scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions. Solid grasp of network architecture, including WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, and virtual networking. Experience working with containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker), microservices, and cloud-native applications. Proficiency in multiple databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB. Familiarity with operating systems including AIX, Linux, Windows, and cloud-based infrastructure. Certifications: TOGAF, ITIL, Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Solution Architect Professional, or GCP Professional certifications are highly desirable.
