We are seeking a skilled and proactive Expressive Analytics Programmer to join our Expressive Analytics team. This role will focus on developing, maintaining and optimizing data systems and listening strategy that support the collection, analysis, and reporting of patient and workforce experience data. Your work will play a critical role in improving patient care, enhancing the employee experience, and optimizing the overall AtlantiCare Experience data strategy for the system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient and/or workforce experience data in the healthcare setting, software development, a deep understanding of the policies and regulations surrounding healthcare data, and a passion for using data-driven insights to improve patient and workforce experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Data Management & Automation: Manage and automate daily patient data file uploads to Press Ganey for timely surveying. Enhance data quality by cleaning duplicate checks and optimizing file processing. Quality Assurance: Partner with the Manager of Expressive Analytics to implement quality assurance practices. Ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational values in feedback processes. System Design & Maintenance: Oversee the design, maintenance, and user management of patient and workforce experience data collection tools. Addressing day-to-day service requests with various stakeholders across AtlantiCare, representing the Expressive Analytics team, managing the development of dashboards, and requests around data and patient file upload optimization. Manage onboarding/offboarding processes for providers and locations to ensure comprehensive feedback across service lines. Dashboard & Survey Development: Collaborate with leadership to design human-centered dashboards and surveys (including information from patients, the community, and team members). Deliver actionable insights by providing the right data to the right stakeholders at the right time. Integrated Reporting & Analysis Conduct statistical analysis and create integrated reports, triangulating patient, workforce and community data across platforms. Highlight trends and actionable insights to improve operational, patient, and workforce experiences. Project & Pipeline Management Partner with the Manager of Expressive Analytics to lead strategic and operational projects related to feedback optimization and creation. Manage end-to-end project execution for data-driven initiatives. Daily Operations & Service Requests In tandem with the Manager of Expressive Analytics, be comfortable translating technical concepts to non-technical language for various stakeholders and educating team members with varying degrees of data literacy.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required, Masters preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. To thrive as an Expressive Analytics Programmer, candidates must demonstrate extensive experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables. A proven track record of managing patient and workforce engagement datasets and databases is essential, reflecting the ability to handle large volumes of sensitive healthcare data efficiently and effectively.
A deep understanding of healthcare standards and regulations is critical. This includes familiarity with key frameworks such as HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and coding standards like ICD-10 and CPT codes, which govern the secure and compliant handling of healthcare data. Candidates should also have hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, and JavaScript, or similar technologies. These skills should extend to developing APIs and automating data communication between systems, enabling seamless access and integration of information across platforms.
Expertise in data privacy, security, and encryption protocols within healthcare contexts is vital. The ideal candidate will confidently guide the team in maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information, while also collaborating effectively with IT and Data & Analytics teams to uphold organizational standards.
Exceptional communication skills are highly valued, as the role involves explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and bridging the gap between technical and operational needs. The ability to manage multiple projects and address day-to-day service requests is equally important, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality support and solutions.
Preferred qualifications include experience in survey methodology, data visualization, and database management, which are crucial for translating raw data into actionable insights and ensuring the effectiveness of patient and workforce feedback tools. These combined experiences position the Expressive Analytics Programmer as a key contributor to enhancing organizational performance and improving the overall healthcare experience.
