Exterior Buyer

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Exterior Commodity Integration Buyer to join our North American sourcing team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to source the highest-quality components at competitive costs. Your expertise in supplier management and strategic sourcing will be essential in developing data-driven strategies and building strong supplier relationships in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and influence stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Experience with supplier risk management and developing risk mitigation strategies. Proficiency in using sourcing and procurement software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Support Sourcing Initiatives: Work closely with cross-functional teams to source fasteners and body mounts that meet Ford Motor Company's quality standards and cost objectives. Develop Commodity Strategies: Analyze commodity needs and market trends to develop sourcing strategies that optimize quality, cost, and delivery performance. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and foster collaborative partnerships. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform sourcing strategies, drive negotiations, and support decision-making processes. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential supplier risks and develop strategies to mitigate any future liabilities to Ford Motor Company. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sourcing processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives and product requirements.
