Job Description

As External Affairs Manager, you will be act as a partner to key healthcare stakeholders, KOLs, policymakers, payers, patient advocacy groups and professional industry associations, to build positive reputation for Abbvie in the region. You will identify and engage with opinion leaders and influencers in the healthcare sector to promote Abbvie values and interests, generating stakeholder’s insights, analyze, and utilizing payer value drivers. You will also engage relevant external stakeholders to deliver on agreed market access, corporate affairs and government affairs strategies and priorities, and manage relationship with the external vendors responsible for corporate affairs and Government affairs, providing customized value proposition to internal and external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

Implements strategies at a country level supporting AbbVie brandsSupport the implementation of product’s access, and reimbursement strategiesCollect and provide information on the health care policy changes and their impact on AbbvieSupport reimbursement process based on Hungarian context and requirementsDeal with any follow up questions or clarifications required by the authority in a timely mannerDevelop and deliver robust, credible value arguments and propositions for Abbvie products to health authoritiesEstablish constructive communication, transparency with local and regional teamsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities as part of planning processSupport product launches, support drug reimbursement negotiations and all necessary payer and lawmaker needed negotiations.Prepare the market for our innovations, reach maximum awareness at decision making bodies
Qualifications

Qualification and Experience

University degree in health economicsMinimum 5 years direct experience in Market AccessThorough understanding of the Hungarian reimbursement landscapeStrong strategic and analytical thinkingExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)Excellent project and time management skillsAbility to work in a team environmentProficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong track of building ethical, compliant and professional relationships with all stakeholders included in pharma industryAbility to build strong network with internal organization and collaborate with others to accomplish shared goalsAbility to analyze and influence the interests of AbbVie from a policy perspectiveProven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topicsAbility to identify future trends that affect strategies and adapt them to enable the business to excel.Ability and willingness to work effectively with multiple products, projects and partners in cross-functional team setting.Strategic thinking, problem-solving oriented with excellence in executionProficiency with political analysis and experience in assessing and interpreting political development and processesProficiency with Corporate affairs and experience in assessing and interpreting media development and content creationExcellent organizational skills, ability to work and execute in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesStrong analytical skills to access, develop and manage multistakeholder managementProven ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators, policymakers, Patient groups and other key stakeholdersAbility to provide direction and informally lead a cross-functional team to achieve objectivesAbility to drive complex cross-functional collaboration to develop strategy for the benefit of the businessIn-depth knowledge of local market access/pricing/reimbursement requirements, pharmaceutical market ethical code, legislation, regulatory requirements, healthcare environment and competitive forces.Fluency in Hungarian & English (both written and verbal)
