To support this ambition in Denmark, we are looking for an External Communications Partner to join the Communications & CSR team in Denmark who can help drive communication activities with external stakeholders and media. You will play a central role in developing our positioning within our well-established operations in the Danish North Sea, which cover both traditional oil and gas production as well as future plans to store millions of tons of CO2 in depleted oil and gas fields.

You will report to the Head of External Communications & CSR and become part of a team of four. This team is integrated into the larger Danish Communications department, which consists of 15 dedicated colleagues spread across our Copenhagen and Esbjerg offices. You have the flexibility to be based in either location.

Activities

Your Key Responsibilities
As an External Communications Partner, you will play a central role in shaping our narrative as well as planning and executing events and initiatives which can support our communication goals. You have a good understanding of external communication and have worked with media handling and strategic communication. You have an interest in the energy transition and the sustainability agenda, understanding its impacts on businesses. While experience in the offshore energy sector is beneficial, it is not a requirement.

Your areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:

Identifying, planning, and executing communication activities around selected core themes such as energy security, carbon reduction, biodiversity, and safetyManaging media outreach, handling media requests, and building relationships with key mediaCoordinating communication plans and actions with our partners in the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC)Creating impactful speeches and presentations for events and conferencesProviding support for issues and crisis management Candidate Profile

Your Candidate Profile
You hold a degree in communication or journalism, likely from a university or business school, and have over five years of professional experience from a corporate communication department, an agency, or an interest organization. You are an engaged communicator with broad skills in handling both digital and traditional media, and you have excellent writing skills in both Danish and English. You have a natural interest in the political and commercial debate surrounding the Danish climate and energy solutions, and you have a good ability to understand and communicate more technical issues. We are looking for a strong team player with a hands-on and a can-do attitude who can think and work strategically.
