Supplier Enabled Services Manager - External Workforce

To ensure we can succeed in this new environment and deliver on our mission for patients, Global Procurement (GP) has transformed to build capabilities and create an agile organisation that will deliver on our vision to “accelerate Roche’s goal to bring innovative solutions to patients quickly and efficiently through business and supplier partnerships”.

Supplier Enabled Services is a team within GP focused on designing, managing, and delivering services to Roche that utilize and connect with our ecosystem of external suppliers. This is an exciting area where you can develop cross-functionally, connect closely to business needs, and deliver meaningful, long-term value to Roche beyond the traditional Procurement value chain. This position reports into the External Workforce Services Lead.

The opportunity:

Develop and deliver market and supplier-driven solutions to meet external workforce priorities and business challenges, enabled through our external workforce technology landscape. 

Act as a domain knowledge and subject matter specialist for external workforce technologies, providing input, advice, and know-how in workforce and digital solutions.

Identify and clarify business customer problem statements/opportunities in collaboration with People & Culture and IT product teams.

Oversee the execution of a strategic roadmap of technology projects and solutions, in the external workforce space.

Act as a champion of reporting and analytics for external workforce related data, focused on procurement related data and output. 

Act as the VMS product owner on behalf of global procurement, acting as a partner to our external workforce managed service providers and business stakeholders. You will work as part of a cross functional team to ensure operational excellence and a positive user experience for our VMS technology.

It is envisioned that the focus area of this role would be external workforce technology, however, this focus area may evolve based on future category opportunities and changing customer needs and priorities.

Who you are

Demonstrated experience delivering technology and innovation across workforce topics, focused on digital solutions (e.g. SAP Fieldglass).

Knowledge of integrated process management, including mapping, optimization and documentation’

Proven success in project management, leading cross-functional, global teams to deliver on timelines, including communication and change management.

Experience in supplier relationship and performance management, including defining value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, managing risks and conducting regular business reviews. 

Business level fluency in English.
