Extract Operator

Job Summary

The process operator is accountable for all operational tasks associated with the area of operation. Tasks include start up and shutdowns, emergency response, troubleshooting, instrumentation, routine maintenance, process control and quality adjustments. This is an entry level position with career advancement opportunities within, and external to, the facility.

Responsibilities:

Support your team in making deliberate improvements in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as well as housekeeping performance.Ensure 100% compliance of assigned EHS requirements, process safety, food safety, and quality standards. As well as executing required preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices.Safe completion of life critical activities in production areas including development and execution of lock, tag, try procedures (LTT).Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and personal development and as assigned by department and/or shift Key Performance Indicators (KPI).Ensure all training requirements are met within the specified time frames and training other personnel as required by Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.Adhere to General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards and practices.Oversee performance of assigned production area by reviewing records, logs, reports, and pursuing resolution activities as needed.Utilize process operation knowledge and problem solving skills to meet or exceed process performance. Identify problems proactively and communicate production issues to Shift Team Leader.Support shift team leader in effectively executing production schedule. Provide sift reporting on all required metrics.Initiates maintenance work requests and communicates maintenance work priorities.Responsible for training other building operators.Updates and follows standard operating procedures for production areas.Monitors and ensures raw material and chemical inventories are properly updated.

 The following are requirements for this position:

High School Diploma or High school equivalent (HSE) including GED and Maine HiSETBasic math skillsBasic computer skills
