The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking is seeking a Lead F-15 Escape Systems Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.

As a Lead F-15 Escape System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and system performance of the F-15 Escape System including but not limited to energetic devices, ejection seats, and canopy jettison systems. In addition, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, managing junior engineer workload and delegation, and interfacing with the F-15 Chief Engineers, F-15 Program Managers, and F-15 Customers.

Position Responsibilities:

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.Performs analyses for functionality, reliability, safety, affordability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR work-related experience and a PhD

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+  years experience in military aircraft design5+ years experience in aircraft escape/egress systems and/or energetic devices5+ years experience in aircraft and component level requirementsExperience in Critical Safety SystemsExperience in component qualification programsExperience in ejection / escape system component and/or sled testingExperience in supplier change management processes (Requirements Change Proposal / Configuration Change Proposal)Experience in project estimatingKnowledge of appropriate customer or governmental regulations relevant to design, test, and certification of Escape Systems (e.g., ASME, MILSPEC).

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:

Level 3: $97,750 - $132,250

Level 4: $119,850 - $162,150
