What You Will Be Doing
As a Production Liaison Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Greenville, SC, you will be a key technical resource supporting the manufacturing and assembly of the F-16 Viper Block 70/72 aircraft. Working directly on the production floor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges, ensuring high-quality aircraft delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft structures, assembly processes, and engineering design principles to support production efficiency and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Support Aircraft Production: Provide daily engineering support on the production floor, ensuring smooth fabrication, assembly, and final integration of the F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft.

- Analyze & Resolve Discrepancies: Investigate production issues, assess root causes, and develop engineering solutions to maintain quality and efficiency.

- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Structures, Stress, Quality, Planning, Materials & Processes, and Flight Sciences to address manufacturing challenges and implement improvements.

- Utilize Engineering Tools: Use CATIA V5 and other digital modeling tools to analyze aircraft structures, assess design modifications, and support trade studies.

- Support Material Review Board (MRB): Assist with anomaly investigations, develop technical solutions, and coordinate engineering dispositions to resolve non-conformance issues.

- Ensure Compliance & Process Improvement: Review and refine manufacturing processes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.

- Provide Technical Guidance: Serve as a liaison between engineering and production teams, offering expertise to resolve technical challenges and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline

• 2 years of engineering experience or no experience required with a related Masters degree

• Experience with 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools

• Experience with engineering drawing interpretation

• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple simultaneous tasks

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills:
• F-16 Fighter Jet Engineering experience
• Experience with CATIA V5
• Experience with metallic and composite structure / design
• Experience with engineering drawing release
• Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
