Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-22 Structures Mechanic - Mod Tech C at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska.
In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).Works under supervision.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience1+ years of experience with structural repair, fabrication, and modification on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15)Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.Must be willing to work variable shiftsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-353+ years of aircraft maintenance experience1+ year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experienceExperience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systemsExperience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural componentsTypical Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and typically 3 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
