Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for an F/A-18 Experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

Maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures and structural components Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical componentsDetermine equipment malfunctions to restore equipment condition and or operation interpret technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures’ manualsPerform on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system componentsPerform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables and fiber optic wiringTroubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems depot maintenance level

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience in aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components5+ years of experience with shop practices, electrical/electronic theories and systems5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair5+ years of experience accessing aircraft computer data systems to initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requestsAble to work variable shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with F-18/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenanceActive Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).
